The Challenge
Online education in the Middle East faces three big hurdles: slow video streaming, clunky payment gateways, and poor support for Arabic interfaces.
Instructors wanted to teach, but they were stuck fighting with technology. Students wanted to learn, but the experience was frustrating.
We needed a platform that was:
• Fast: No buffering, even on slow networks.
• Local: Payments that actually work in Oman and the Gulf.
• Engaging: Not just videos, but a real community.
The Solution
goZariq is a modern Learning Management System built from the ground up for this region.
We stripped away the complexity. Instructors upload; students watch. Payments just work. It's education without borders.
The Innovation
To deliver a world-class experience, I integrated best-in-class technologies into a cohesive platform.
1. Buffer-Free Video
I used Mux for adaptive bitrate streaming. Whether a student is on 5G in Dubai or 3G in a remote village, the video plays instantly. We also added lazy loading and poster images to make the UI feel instant.
2. Local Payments
Global gateways often fail here. I integrated local providers like Thawani and AMWAL Pay. I built a unified payment abstraction layer so we can swap providers easily without breaking the user flow.
3. Gamified Learning
Learning should be fun. I built a custom Points & Leveling System. Students earn XP for watching videos and completing quizzes. It turns passive watching into an active journey.
